Jill Fade will talk about her business 'Meadowsweet Flowers' where she crystalizes edible flowers that she grows in her beautiful garden.  After lunch Pat Downes will demonstrate the use of sumer flowers in the home.

A spectacular late summer show in Wisley's colourful surroundings.  Highlights include the National Dahlia Society Annual Show and Floral Arrangements from the local NAFAS Group.  Lots to see and enjoy! 
RHS Members get free entry and can take one guest free.  Coaches start at Paulton Depot & Worle Parkway, there will be a comfort stop on each journey.

VISIT TO BUCKLER'S HARD

Discover the fascinating history of Buckler's Hard in the picturesque setting of the Beaulieu River.  This was once a hive of ship building activity where artisans lived with their families.  Step back in time to the 1790s and meet the villagers at work, at home, in their chapel or the inn.  The Museum recounts the ship building heritage of Nelson's fleet.

An optional boat trip on the Beaulieu River is available.

PLEASE NOTE:  There are steps, stairways, low doorways and uneven paths so many not be suitable for people with mobility difficulties.

Our morning speaker is coming to talk to us about the 'Not Forgotten Society'.  Rosie Thompson is the Events Manager for this unique tri service charity that each year supports approximately 10,000 serving and ex-service men and women with disabilities.  Within this charity they organise a programme of tailored activities where there are various challenges that build confidence, comradeship, a better quality of life and it is where many are able to find renewed determination to suceed.

The afternoon speaker is Julie Summers who is one of those natural born writers who has a compelling story to tell.  One of Julie's best-selling books was Jambusters which inspired the ITV drama series
Home Fires.

Sandwiches at 1.50 can be pre-=ordered, to be paid for on collection

Come and listen to a member of the garden centre staff talk about the many ways to bring colour into the winter garden.  Brackenwood is a family run business that has been established in the area for over 40 years.  Set within the beautiful rural location of Abbots Leigh.  There is a cafe.

Ashley Jones, Police Officer in voluntary role, as presenter for Senior Citizen's Liasion Team, will give a presentation on Senior Safety. This is concerned with scams recieved by post, phone, email or on the doorstep and how to deal with them, with tips and advice, especially for the 60+ age range. There will be time for questions/discussion. Tea/coffe and raffle.

FEDERATION QUIZ

Time once more to sharpen up the memory and put on those thinking caps for the Annual Federation Quiz.
There will be a Quizmaster for the evening.  Teams of four are needed.  Come along and represent your WI and enjoy a fun evening.  You can bring your own beverage & nibbles for the evening.

and works for Designability in Bath.

Our second morning speaker is Genevieve Taylor who is going to speak about how she produces food for film sets. She has worked on the TV production of Poldark and many more. She is a well known writer of cookery books and her latest is about street food.

In the afternoon, sit back and enjoy a fashion show of the latest clothes from M&Co.

The competion is for 4 decorated cupcakes (your secretary will have the schedule)

We will be staying at the 3* Holiday Inn in Lincoln, on a half board basis, which is located 5 minutes walk from the city centre. Facilities at the hotel include a restaurant & bar, en-suite rooms including tv, phone, hairdryer & tea/coffee making facilities.

  THE DELIGHTS OF SLOVENIA & LAKE BLED

Departing Thursday 11th October 2018

We will depart by coach, from our usual pick up points, to Stansted Airport for our direct flight to Ljubljana. Our local guide will meet us and transfer us to the 4* Park Hotel in Bled for 6 days/5 nights on a half board basis.
During our stay we have guided tours of Lake Bled & Ljubljana and will visit Bled Castle, Church of the Assumption (pictured), enjoy a traditional Pietna boat excursion and a cruise from Portoroz to Piran.
There is also an optional excursion to Lake Bohinj.
On our return we will be met at Stansted & travel back to our original pick up points.

Cost:  899 pp. Single supplement 99 pp.  Insurance 36 pp.
